Project Management
The role of the project manager is to be the primary contact and oversee the project throughout its entirety from the first delivery through to its completion; which includes seeing final punch issues resolved. The PM is responsible for staying on budget, overseeing logistics, labor allocation, and even site preparation. Because we are deeply involved early in the process, it allows us to plan a successful, on-time installation and/or move that caters to unique project requirements.
As the primary contact, COFI Services will facilitate and coordinate communication between the end user, installation and construction crews, facility managements, and the lead architects/designers as necessary. Part of this communication plan includes space planning and layout verification for critical measurements and dimensions. Our PM Team deftly handles every detail of the project and communicates project updates throughout the project’s duration.
Throughout the process, you can expect your PM to:
Attend construction & project meetings via conference call or onsite to discuss timelines and critical action steps.
Create a delivery and installation schedule based on time-frame given for the furniture install.
Layout cubicle and conference room floor cores, field measure critical dimensions.
Perform pre-installation site visits in the construction phase to provide updates on site readiness; determine any specific site requirements concerning security clearances, trailer sizes and loading dock restrictions.
Communicate installation progress and discrepancies throughout project to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.
Organize the sequence of furniture deliveries to ensure an well planned and organized installation.
Perform final punch walk through to obtain customer sign off.
